Take the w16w led canbus bulb as a reverse light bulb for example, easily follow the below steps to replace a backup light, it is similar on most vehicles. The first thing to do is to identify which one of the bulbs is the reverse light of the light housing. The reverse light is usually clear and white.
Remove the tray and use a wrench to remove the nuts.
When removing all the nuts, pulling on the cover, you can find where the reserve light position is.
To remove the bulb, just twist the connection and pull it out. Pull the bulb out off the connection. You can see the factory halogen bulb.
Install the w16w led canbus bulb for example, it is easy to plug and play. Plugging in the connection and it is done.
Put the led bulb into the light housing carefully and the installation done. Finally complete all the nuts back into the original places.
When the installation is done, we need to test whether the backup light works normally. By testing the light, we do not recommend to turn on the car, because it is dangerous. Keeping the car off and put the switch on, like you gonna turn it on, and just put the reverse and gear, the bulb should turn on. Making sure the bulb is completely in illuminate.
